Boost your outdoor activities

Boost your workout!

When the weather warms up, working out outdoors can infuse a workout with new energy. Beyond a change of scenery, outdoor training sessions can provide significant benefits:

The variety

Whether walking or running, cycling, hiking or swimming, an outdoor area presents a changing environment. Slopes and obstacles make the course more interesting. Plus, natural elements work the body and mind in a different way than a treadmill or indoor bike.

It's free

It is entirely possible to get out and move without spending a penny. Of course, you can pay to attend running clinics or outdoor training camps. But basically, going outside is free! A good walk around your neighborhood costs nothing, and the only equipment you'll need is your own body (and a pair of comfortable shoes).

Fresh air and sunshine

Exercising outdoors is a great way to get your daily dose of vitamin D (while protecting yourself from the sun, naturally). A walk in the woods has been shown to provide many health benefits. This notably improves blood pressure and mental health. Your outdoor session could even reduce the risk of cancer.

Prepare yourselves!

It's important to be well prepared to get the most out of an outdoor exercise session. Consider the temperature and avoid extremes by planning your workouts around the temperature. Dress for the climate. Depending on the time of year, the cold or the heat could spoil your outing.

Very important, drink enough! Exercising, especially in hot weather, can cause you to become dehydrated before you even feel thirsty. So drink! Bring enough water with you or know where to have access to water wherever you go.

Energize your water!

Sisu Ester-C® Energy Boost Drink Mixes are a natural way to energize your water during your exercise sessions. They provide 24 hours of immune support and come in delicious natural flavors. These convenient, low-calorie, vegan drink mixes are packed with Vitamin C Ester-C®, B vitamins, electrolytes, calcium, magnesium and trace minerals.

Ester-C® is the only patented vitamin C formula clinically studied to remain in white blood cells – an important part of the immune system – longer than regular vitamin C, up to 24 hours . In addition, it is not acidic and gentler on the stomach. This drink is available in various flavors: Orange, Wild Berries, Lemon-Lime and Pina Colada. Multi-flavor packaging allows you to taste them all.

Have fun !

A minimum of 150 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity per week is recommended for adult Canadians. When exercise is fun, those 150 minutes fly by. Recruit a friend, get out and get moving! And don't forget to bring water (and your Ester-C® Energy Boost!).
