Chicory, the bach flower of love without restriction
The Wild Chicory, Cichorium Intybus, the genus Cichorium and the Asteraceae family, develops spontaneously in arid fields, ditches, at the edge of the paths, in the wastelands and the meadows. Nothing seems to be able to hinder this dominatrix who does not leave any plant rooting on his proximity, because his leaves grow horizontally from the foot of the plant. On the other hand, its seeds fallen on the ground form new shoots under the protection of the plant plant. Botanically, wild chicory is a raw herbaceous plant, very rustic, pivoting root, hairy twigs and dark green alternate leaves.

His flowers that do not have a peduncle are horns of a franc blue - more rarely white or pink - circled with bracts and grouped by clusters or racemes on a receptacle. It's a peculiarity of asterraceae. The capitulas open only when the sunshine is optimal, between July and September. As for its fruits, it is akenes or egrets, surmounted by a tuft of scales called Pappus.
