Genmaicha is a traditional Japanese blend in which toasted rice grains are added to green tea leaves. Its peasant origins go back a long way in the country's history. Normally produced from Bancha tea leaves, this higher grade uses Sencha instead and is enhanced with Matcha powder for a bright, grassy, ​​caffeinated glow. This addition brings a pleasant contrast to the warm aromas of the toasted rice. Very popular in winter for its comforting appearance.
