Natracare’s smooth, easy-to-insert cardboard applicator helps you insert the tampon. The material used to make this biodegradable applicator tube is chlorine-free. The organic cotton core of the tampon with applicator is designed to expand and gently absorb menstrual flow. The organic cotton removal string allows you to easily remove the tampon after use.

In most tampon brands, the applicator tube is made of plastic. This plastic contains a chemical—phthalates—that can be absorbed through the skin. Furthermore, the disposal of these plastic products contributes to global marine pollution.

Why choose organic cotton tampons?

Often, women are unaware that rayon and rayon blends are widely used in tampon manufacturing. Rayon is commonly bleached with chlorine and is a fiber that absorbs menstrual flow very well and very quickly; however, it can also simultaneously dry out the mucous membrane that naturally protects the vagina.
