Vegan teriyaki sauce
Teriyaki sauce is a classic for all Asian-style recipes. In addition to being easy and quick to prepare, it keeps for a very long time in the refrigerator. So it's always good to have some on hand for meals that are prepared on the run! It is generally used in vegetable stir-fries with rice noodles and a vegetable (tofu, tempeh, seitan) or animal (chicken, beef, fish) protein. But you can also use it as a marinade!

Serving size: 1 cup
Ingredients
- ¼ cup organic soy sauce
- ¼ cup of water
- 1 C. tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
- 1 C. tsp sriracha
- A clove of chopped garlic
- 1 C. tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
- 1 C. tablespoon of maple syrup
- 2 tbsp. tablespoon of tomato paste
- ½ tsp. tablespoon of sesame seeds
- 1 C. cornstarch + 2 tbsp. tablespoon of water
Preparation
Place all ingredients in a small saucepan and stir. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and let sit for 2 minutes.
* Teriyaki sauce will keep for 2 to 3 months in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
