Mango and Strawberry Pre-Workout Smoothie
Nutrition of an athlete's body is a must. Without these precious nutrients, performance will not be there during training and recovery will not be optimal after exercise either.
But by athlete, I don't just mean the elite. You too who indulge in a little hike in the forest, a light run or an occasional bike ride are an athlete of your own level. It is just as important to nourish your body well before your sporting outing.
A smoothie is a great solution to give you a host of valuable nutrients. Being liquid, it will be digested more quickly.
On to the recipe!
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened almond drink
- 1 cup fresh hulled organic strawberries
- 1 cup frozen mango
- 1 C. tablespoon of hemp seeds
- 2 tbsp. tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 6 ice cubes
- 1 scoop of Whole Earth & Sea Fermented Green Foods , chocolate flavor
- Optional toppings: hemp seeds, white blackberries and sliced fresh strawberries
Preparation
1. Starting with the almond drink, combine all ingredients in the blender container and blend until smooth.
2. Add a little almond drink for a more liquid consistency.
