Glutenase has been formulated with a specialized thera-blend ™ protease in combination with the DPP-IV enzyme. This new formula supports people with gluten or casein intolerance.

Enzymedica glutenase contains a unique combination of proteases to digest gluten and casein. The high proteases of the DPP-IV activity helps break gluten and gliadin proteins that can reduce the appearance of symptoms associated with intolerance. This actively supports the intestine, which allows proteins to be well decomposed and absorbed in during digestion. Glutenase can also be used by those who want to stay on the FBCF regime to ensure complete digestion of safe and effective proteins.

Glutense addresses a related issue that also stems from gluten intolerance; Problems to digest carbohydrates of the offending foods. The search also found that gluten is a protein and carbohydrate fraction. For this reason, glutenase also contains Amylase Thera-Blend ™ and Glucoamylase. The amylase and glucoamylase enzymes help the digestion of the glucid part of the grains (such as wheat) which contains gluten. Glucoamylase is needed to complete the digestion of these sugar molecules and glucose starch, the simplest sugar used by the body for energy.

Gluten intolerance occurs when there is a difficulty in breaking the links of specific amino acids (called peptides) in gluten molecules. Gluten intolerance can affect up to 15% of the world's population. The primary treatment for gluten or casein intolerance is to withdraw the incriminated foods of the diet of a person, also known as FBCF or gluten-free, without casein. Although effective in the short term, once these foods are reintroduced in the diet the return of symptoms appears. Glutenase offers those who suffer from this intolerance, digestion and assimilation of incriminated proteins. Glutenase is not designed to prevent the symptoms of celiac disease.

Take 1 capsule with a meal containing gluten or casein. More than one capsule can be taken if necessary. This product works best when used in combination with Digest Enzymedica or Digest Or.
