Omega-3 fatty acids, also named long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (AGPI) are found in fatty fish such as herring, sardines and mackerel. EPA and DHA provide considerable health benefits. The consumption of products such as fatty fish and good quality marine oil supplements have been associated with good health the service life. The production of EPA and DHA in the human body from precursor fatty acids such as alpha-linolenic acid is very inefficient. It is therefore important to consume them regularly. Unfortunately, the typical Western diet tends to be poor in omega-3. This problem is aggravated by the fact that omega-6 fatty acids are common in many foods that make up a large part of our diet and omega-6 can interfere with ratio and balance of omega fatty acids in the body. These factors constitute a strong argument for regular supplementation in omega-3. OMEGAGENICS EPA-DHA 1000 contains a concentrated and purified source of pharmaceutical omega-3 fatty acids from cold water fish from sustainable sources.
