Artichoke

The artichoke is used as a remedy from ancient times (especially against digestive disorders). From the 16th century, it acquires the reputation of being "good" for the liver and it is prescribed in case of jaundice (hepatitis). Nowadays, its excerpts or juice continue to be employed in herbal medicine in multiple indications.

Recommended dosage (adults):

2 teaspoons (3 g), 2 to 3 times a day, in infusion. Infuse 2 teaspoons in a cup of boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes, filter.

Medicinal ingredient by tea spoon:

1.5 g Dried leaf of Cynara Schemyl L. (Artichoke).

Precautions / Warnings:

Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsens; Before making it use if you are pregnant or if you have bile calculations.

Contraindications:

Do not use in the case of plant allergies of the asceracies / compounds / daisies or if you have a biliary obstruction.

Reconnected adverse reaction:

Hypersensitivity (eg an allergy) can be manifested. If this is the case, stop using. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use if the bag is not sealed.
