Celery seeds contain a powerful compound by the name of 3-n-butylphthalide (3nB) which is responsible for celery's outstanding healing properties, as well as its characteristic flavour and odour. This active compound has beneficial effects with the circulatory system due to its diuretic action. It has the potential to lower blood pressure, thereby promoting a healthy circulatory system. It helps rid the body of excess water, including the release of fluid surrounding the heart, reducing the heart’s workload.

Natural Factors Celery Seed Extract is standardized to contain 80% of 3nB.

Celery seed has also been evaluated in the treatment of rheumatism and has shown to reduce pain while increasing mobility and quality of life.
