Bergamot is the fruit of the bergamot orange tree, not to be confused with citrus bergamia, the trade name of a lemon citrus cultivar grown in Marrakech. Our bergamot grows in the Reggio region of Calabria in Italy on a narrow stretch of the Calabrian coast running the length of the Ionian and Tyrrhenian seas where it supports local industry.

Use

Bergamot essential oil is used in aromatherapy as nerve calming as well as to help relieve headaches.

Dosage

Topical (adults): Mix 1 drop in 1 tablespoon (15ml) of vegetable oil; apply to the affected area once a day. Inhalation: Add 4 to 12 drops to a bowl of hot water or a diffuser. Inhale slowly and deeply for 5-10 minutes.
