Spruce -Black essential oil is used in aromatherapy as a nerve tonic and to help relieve joint and muscle pain associated with sprains, strains and rheumatoid arthritis. 

The black spruce helps in the treatment of the bronchitis and sinusitis , can also act on the fatigue of the adrenal glands as well as seasonal exhaustion.

In Canada, its first use is the exploitation for the production of paper pulp. Its wood, solid, right and light, has long been used as timber. Spruce gum is also harvested to make spruce beer, a drink dating from the beginnings of the colony of New France. 

Posology

Topical (Adults): Mix 1 to 2 drops in 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) of vegetable oil; apply to the affected area 3 times a day. Inhalation (Nervous syst.) Add 4 to 12 drops to a bowl of steaming hot water or a diffuser. Inhale slowly for 5-10 minutes.
