Textured vegetable protein (TVP)

The textured vegetable proteins found here are produced by soy flour and are incredibly rich in complete protein. In addition they do not contain fat. Excellent alternative to beef or turkey for vegetarians. The Bob's Red Mill textured vegetable protein is made from degreased soy flour that was cooked under pressure and dried, and is an easy replacement for most meats. The Bob's Red Mill textured vegetable protein is also extremely easy to add to the recipes because it adopts the flavor of any dish to which it is added. Use textured vegetable proteins as a meat substitute in the stews and soups. They also work very well as a protein additive for health bars, salads, cereals, cooked potatoes and stuffing.
