Related to the botanical family of the laurel (lauraceae), the camphor tree (cinnamomum camphora) was present throughout Asia ranging from China to Taiwan and Japan. It migrated to other continents where it has become known as an invasive species of tree. Its essential oil is derived directly from the wood.

Use

Camphor white oil is used in aromatherapy to help relieve muscular and joint pain related to sprains, strains and rheumatoid arthritis.
