DIM is an antioxidant compound derived from indole-3-carbinol (I-3-C), a plant compound found in broccoli, kale, cauliflower, bok choy, and other cruciferous vegetables.

DIM is recognized for its role in maintaining a healthy estrogen balance in both men and women by promoting the elimination of estrogen through the liver’s cleansing and detoxification pathways. DIM promotes the metabolic conversion of free estrogens and can convert estrogen-mimicking substances (such as parabens and phthalates) into less active forms, thereby reducing their potential impact on estrogen-sensitive tissues.
