The vitamin B12 is an essential hydrosoluble vitamin found in different foods, including fish, crustaceans, meat and dairy products. This vitamin is found in insufficient amount in vegetarian diet. Vitamin B12 promotes health of nerve cells and red blood cells and participates in the formation of DNA. The incapacity of the intestinal tract to absorb the vitamin B12 is more and more frequent among seniors. In addition, strict vegetarians and vegans that do not consume enough B12 are also subject to deficiency. The Now® B12 pellets also contain 100 mcg of folic acid to stimulate the production of red blood cells. These pellets with the natural aroma of fruit can be chewed or consumed in sublingual socket (under the tongue). Their small size, the fact that they are vegetarian and that they are sweet with fructose make these pellets are suitable for a large number of people.
