Kids will love Big Friends Liquid Vitamin D3, which comes with a baby-safe shaker cap for accurate dosing. The neutral-tasting, oil-based formula ensures excellent absorption and can be taken directly or mixed into food. The liquid form is also well suited to breastfed infants.
Known as the “sunshine vitamin”, this essential nutrient is usually synthesized by the skin through sun exposure. However, many experts recommend supplemental vitamin D for children of all ages as decreased sun exposure puts many at risk of vitamin D deficiency.
Vitamin D is vital for the absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus, and supports the nervous system. Vitamin D3 is the natural form needed by the human body and is much more effective at raising active D3 levels than vitamin D2.
