Our Puerto Rican pink beans pay authentic homage to the coriander-scented sofrito beans found throughout the island. They have an exceptional color and aroma and pair beautifully with fish and chicken.
We seasoned the pink beans in this bag with Puerto Rican sofrito, a traditional culinary base made with onions, peppers, tomatoes, garlic, cumin, oregano, annatto, and cilantro, all gently sautéed in olive oil. Only sea salt and water complete the dish. The result is a dish rich in flavor, nutrients, and history.
