Cinnamosma fragrans Ballion, or Saro, is a plant that was first discovered on the island of Madagascar, where it has long been used in traditional medicine.

It has also become increasingly popular in aromatherapy. Saro is also called mandravasarotra, which means “that keeps illnesses away” in Malagasy.
