Organic whole grain sourdough bread

This bread is one of the best for your health. This is an interesting alternative to traditional wheat. In addition, it is full and based on leaven. It is one of the few breads on the market exclusively consisting of integral kamut flour. Its taste and texture are unique. Kamut, which means wheat in ancient Egyptian, is actually the commercial name of a Khorasan wheat cultivar (Triticum Turgidum) whose agrobiological culture must follow a specific and rigorous.

Khorasan wheat is an ancestor of hard wheat (it lacks 14 chromosomes compared to modern wheat). Its ear carries grains three times bigger than durum wheat. Each epi is formed of large long and bumpy grains. Its particular taste recalls that of a hazelnut butter, which gives it a sweet and slightly sweet flavor. Kamut is a cereal with large nutrient values that provides only 359 calories for 100 g.

Its wealth of carbohydrates, lipids and potassium gives it high nutritional value. Like other varieties of wheat, kamut contains gluten. However, lightly intolerant gluten people generally respond better to kamut than in traditional wheat.
