The patchouly is an aromatic herb from Indonesia and Malaysia. It is widely used in perfumery. The essential oil is produced by distillation of leaves and must grow several months in barrels to lose bitterness. Expensive and luxurious raw material, the patchouli enters the formulation of both male and feminine perfumes as the bottom note. Powerful, woody, or earthy smell, it is found in wooded, Cyprated and Eastern perfumes.

Use:

Patchouly's essential oil is used in aromatherapy for the symptomatic relief of acne and eczema, to relieve minor skin irritation and as nervous soothing.

DOSAGE:

topical (adults):mix 1 to 2 drops in 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) of vegetable oil; Apply locally, 3 times a day. Inhalation (nervous system):Add 4-12 drops in a bowl of hot water or a diffuser. Inhale slowly for 5-10 minutes.
