Tuscany sauceOur Tuscany sauce is a melting tomato compote that allows a tight of caramelized red pepper and a tip of garlic. It could be defined as the most "classic" Italian sauces, because all its aromatic notes are perfectly harmony to spread the taste of fresh tomatoes.
IngredientsTomato pulp and tomato coulis Datterino 83% (Italy), extra virgin olive oil, garlic, sea salt, peppers, pepper, citric acid. May contain traces of milk and gears.
UsesThis classic tomato sauce is a must for all types of pasta. It is an excellent base for pappa Al Pomodoro, a traditional Tuscan soup prepared with stale bread that can use both hot and cold or at room temperature. The authentically Italian pasta dishes do not bathe in the sauce. The average proportions of tomato sauce and dough are 375 ml (1 ½ cup) for 500 g (1 pound). Do not throw all the water cooking pasta:it's a good idea to add it to the sauce. Incorporate from ¼ to ½ cup or a ladle of cooking water to your sauce before adding the pasta. This salt and starchy water gives not only flavor, but also helps the sauce to adhere to pasta, in addition to thicken it.
