Tomato sauce with SicilianOur Sicilian sauce is a consistent mix of red and yellow peppers and crushed tomatoes, to which pieces of onion and eggplant add. Its taste evokes both the ratatouille and caponata.

UsesOur tomato sauce with Sicilian accompanies another specialty of the region:the Arancinis, these small fries rice pellets. Just add minced meat and peas to get the famous Sicilian ragish sauce, delicious in lasagna and with the Cannelloni. To vary, try the chicken rather at the basquark. The authentically Italian pasta dishes do not bathe in the sauce. The average proportions of tomato sauce and dough are 375 ml (1 ½ cup) for 500 g (1 pound). Do not throw all the water cooking pasta. It's a good idea to add it to the sauce. Incorporate from ¼ to ½ cup or a ladle of cooking water to your sauce before adding the pasta. This salt and starchy water gives not only flavor, but also helps the sauce to adhere to pasta, in addition to thicken it.
