Tomato and basil sauce

The most popular favuzzi sauces:a creamy riddled tomatoes of fresh basil leaves that give it a deliciously herbaceous taste.

Uses

This basic Italian sauce perfectly accompanies all your favorite pasta:spaghetti, raviolis, gnocchis, cannellonis, etc. You can also nap the polpettes and arancinis. The authentically Italian pasta dishes do not bathe in the sauce. The average proportions of tomato sauce and dough are 375 ml (1 ½ cup) for 500 g (1 pound). Do not throw all the water cooking pasta. It's a good idea to add it to the sauce. Incorporate from ¼ to ½ cup or a ladle of cooking water to your sauce before adding the pasta. This salt and starchy water gives not only flavor, but also helps the sauce to adhere to pasta, in addition to thicken it.

Ingredients

Tomato pulp and cherry tomato coulis 90% (Italy), extra virgin olive oil, celery, carrots, onions, basil 1%, sea salt, garlic, pepper, citric acid.

Distinctive elements

Nothing equals the taste of mature Italian tomatoes under the Mediterranean sun and seasoned fresh lanes cultivated locally. If our sauces have a smooth texture comparable to that of the sauces prepared at home, it is because they are produced in small quantities and cooked on the flame, as the Italian mammars do, which allows to evaporate the water little by little.

Artisan

Laurentiis's family has a craft company in the mountainous region of Abruzzo. For two generations, it has been moving out of traditional ingredients and know-how in order to offer products to authentically Italian taste. Tomatoes, saffron and other aromatics are cultured biologically on its few earth lopins and then turned into sauces and condiments thanks to a small army of cooks that work around the furnaces.
