Sparkling berry and basil drink
The pinnacle of freshness! This summer drink with berries and basil is perfect for rolling around on the floor. Embellished with small juice fruits and enhanced with kombucha, it tastes as good as it is healthy.
Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 ml) ripe red strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/3 tsp. tbsp (75 ml) organic coconut sugar (Ecoideas)
- 2 large sprigs fresh basil, stems removed
- 1/2 tsp. teaspoon (2 ml) vanilla extract
- Ice cubes
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Daily Dose for Gut Health (Botanica)
- 750 ml bottled sparkling water (Eska)
Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix the strawberries, sugar, basil and vanilla well. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or, even better, overnight.
2. For an individual serving, place a few ice cubes and lemon slices in a large glass. Add enough strawberries and marinade to fill a ladle, plus 4 tbsp. tsp (20 ml) of Daily Dose for Gut Health. Fill the glass with sparkling water, stir and serve.
