Eat gluten-free, why and for whom?
Gluten-free, the primary objective of the Schär company
It was in 1981 that the Schär company was created, noting the growing interest in gluten-free food products. It was with the increase in people suffering from digestive sensitivities to gluten that a new food market was established. These people develop various symptoms and irritations. For example, skin problems, bloating, gas, stomach aches, mild headaches, fatigue, foggy thinking and demotivation are noticed in these people.
Following these findings, the Schär company was born. Offering food products to people who want to consume foods that are suitable for their health, without them having to deprive themselves of grain products, is their primary mandate. All this, in order to allow them to prevent an unbalanced digestive system, promote general well-being, as well as a pleasant life and diet.
Is gluten really so bad?
Initially, gluten is not bad in itself. It is a source of proteins, vitamins and fiber. On the other hand, the balance of the raw food must be respected in order to avoid many problems. However, several serious studies have demonstrated an increase in gluten in grains. This increase is created by genetic modifications (GMO) and by the industrial addition of gluten in food processing. However, the digestive system does not adapt well to this rapid change.
Why are there people without obvious reactions and others with manifestations of digestive sensitivities? Adaptation differs for everyone! The digestive system of each person, even within the same family, will manage the imbalance of gluten on the plate differently. It is then that we will see, or not, the appearance of the imbalances mentioned above. The absence of symptoms, however, does not mean the absence of gluten sensitivity. There may be a small or silent mess that takes place without our knowledge.
The alternative
What to do then? The Schär company offers symptomatic and non-symptomatic people gluten-free products. The company offers a very diverse and delicious range that meets the tastes of consumers.
