How to keep lice away?
Summer is over! It's time to go back to school. A joy for the children to return to the school routine and of course to see friends again.
The return to school is full of new things. New teachers, new friends, new school items… What is not new, however, is that every year lice also take real pleasure in marking their entry into class.
To avoid being infested, it is better to prevent them. Here are some simple, practical and effective tips to help fight head lice naturally.
True Lavender essential oil
(Lavandula angustifolia)
The preventive action of lavender against head lice has long been recognized. Of course, once we are infested, lavender is not a weapon to get rid of the critters. But in prevention mode, it is very effective!
How to do ?
True lavender essential oil can be used as a preventative measure every morning before going to school. A drop behind the ears and on the back of the neck is enough. We rub a little so that the oil penetrates the skin and that's it.
To limit the risk of allergies linked to certain essential oils and soften their effect, mix lavender essential oil with a fatty substance such as sweet almond vegetable oil.
Lavender floral water
With its slight lavender scent (less strong than that of the essential oil), you can also use it for prevention. Spray lavender floral water on textiles: clothes, soft toys, beds, pillows, etc. This action will further promote prevention. A perfect combination!
