It is entirely possible to get out and move without spending a penny. Of course, you can pay to attend running clinics or outdoor training camps. But basically, going outside is free! A good walk around your neighborhood costs nothing, and the only equipment you'll need is your own body (and a pair of comfortable shoes).

Prepare yourselves!
It's important to be well prepared to get the most out of an outdoor exercise session. Consider the temperature and avoid extremes by planning your workouts around the temperature. Dress for the climate. Depending on the time of year, the cold or the heat could spoil your outing.
Very important, drink enough! Exercising, especially in hot weather, can cause you to become dehydrated before you even feel thirsty. So drink! Bring enough water with you or know where to have access to water wherever you go.
