Cider vinegar: 3 amazing tips

Apple cider vinegar (or ACV) is well known as being excellent for accelerating metabolism and supporting weight loss. It is also given antiseptic and digestive qualities. It is even very nutritious thanks to its richness in minerals. But what you may not know is that it is not only a health ally, but also a beauty ally!

In this article, I share with you 3 simple and economical tips featuring cider vinegar. I invite you to read until the end, because I left a very practical little bonus tip for the summer!

Tip #1: hair care

By using a “rinse” based on cider vinegar, you contribute to the health of your hair and scalp. In fact, VCP helps fight itchy scalp and rids it of residues that stick to it (styling products, dust, dandruff, etc.). If you have more damaged hair, apple cider vinegar can also help it regain a healthier appearance.

Apple cider vinegar helps rebalance the pH of the scalp, reduce frizz and improve the shine and softness of the hair.

To prepare the rinse, mix 1 part VCP in 5 parts water in a spray bottle. Stir. When you are ready to use it, spray onto the scalp, taking care to separate your hair into sections to apply it everywhere. Don't forget the tips! Massage and leave for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse hair with cool water. Apply your usual conditioner.

Tip #2: facial toner

Apple cider vinegar is a living and highly mineralized food. For these reasons, it is very effective on the skin. In addition, the tonic lotion based on VCP acts as an exfoliant, it is antibacterial and restores radiance to the skin. Nothing less !

To prepare the facial lotion, mix the apple cider vinegar with water in a small glass bottle. Choose the proportion that suits your skin best:

Sensitive: 1 part of VCP for 4 parts of water

Dry: 1 part VCP for 3 parts water

Normal: 1 part VCP for 2 parts water

Grasse: 1 part of VCP for 1 part of water.

Apply a small amount of toner to a makeup remover pad after cleansing your skin. Then apply your usual moisturizer.

Tip #3: Nail Polish Remover

If you're like me, the thought of having to use conventional nail polish remover takes away the desire to color your fingertips. The smell is completely unbearable for me! This is why I particularly like this next thing. It is effective on the nails and gentle on the nostrils.

But let's not forget its benefits. Apple cider vinegar protects your nails and cuticles with its antibacterial and remineralizing properties.

To prepare nail polish remover, mix equal parts apple cider vinegar and lemon juice in a small glass bottle. When you're ready to use it, soak your nails in lukewarm water for about 10 minutes. Next, dip a cotton ball into the nail polish remover and clean your nails.

Bonus tip

And yes, as promised! This summer, always have a small amount of apple cider vinegar. It is completely magical in stopping the itch of insect bites.
