We offer you a recipe that will please everyone. Although the salmon is not unanimously appreciated, well prepared, cooked on the BBQ and wrapped in a burger bun, no one will be able to turn it away.

Did you know that salmon is an excellent source of protein with many health benefits? With its 20 g of protein per 100 g serving, salmon is also known to be a very good source of B vitamins, iron, magnesium and even vitamin D.

Although it is rather high in fat, its lipid profile is quite interesting. Salmon is mainly rich in unsaturated lipids and generously offers Omega-3 EPA and DHA. A sustained intake of Omega-3 promotes cardiovascular and brain health, fights inflammation and helps hydrate tissues, including the skin. Putting it on your plate is a very positive action for your health!

Instructions for the grilled salmon burger recipe

Place the chopped shallots in a mixing bowl. 

In a separate bowl, crack and beat egg, then add it to the shallots. Add spices and Dijon mustard and mix well.

Open cans of salmon, but do not drain them. Flake salmon directly in the can, then pour the content into the mixing bowl.

Add the bread crumbs and gently fold the mixture with a spatula. Set aside for about 5 minutes. 

Preheat BBQ on high. With a double layer of aluminum foil, cover gril. Coat foil with cooking spray. 

With hands, prepare 4 to 6 burger patties and place them on the gril. Cook each side 4-5 minutes or until golden brown.

Lightly toast hamburger buns.

Add toppings of choice, such as tomato, green leaves, onion and seasoned mayo.
