Oven baked gluten free tofu nuggets recipe

Our suggestion to save you some time: prepare this recipe in advance and keep it in the fridge. Before serving, place the tofu nuggets on a plate and warm them up in the oven.
Ingredients to prepare the oven baked gluten free tofu nuggets recipe
- 1 (16-ounce) block firm tofu, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 + 1/4 cup San-J Tamari sauce
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (1/4-inch) knob ginger, minced
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
Instructions to prepare the oven baked gluten free tofu nuggets recipe
Place tofu in a resealable plastic bag. Add 1/2 cup San-J Tamari sauce, garlic and ginger. Marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes. Remove tofu from marinade. Discard marinade. Pat tofu dry with paper towels.
Mix breadcrumbs and paprika together in medium bowl. In a separate medium bowl, whisk flour and water together until a thick paste forms. Dredge tofu in flour mixture, letting excess drip off, then into bread crumbs, coating evenly on all sides. Place tofu cubes side by side on a baking sheet. Bake until golden-brown, about 30-40 minutes, flipping tofu halfway through.
In a small skillet, lightly roast sesame seeds and save.
Serve tofu with remaining San-J Tamari sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
