Ingredients to make the vegan apple crumble with fall spices recipe
Spiced apple filling
- 5 apples with peel, washed and diced
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1½ tsp ground true cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp sea salt
- 1 tbsp deodorized coconut oil, melted
Crumble topping
- 1¾ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup almond flour or chickpea flour
- ¾ cup coconut sugar or cane sugar
- 1½ tbsp maple syrup
- ¾ tsp ground true cinnamon
- ½ tsp sea salt
- 6 tbsp deodorized coconut oil, melted
Instructions to prepare your crumble
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients for the apple filling, stirring well, then transfer to a deep baking dish.
Using a food processor or high speed blender, combine 1 cup of oats with the rest of the crumble topping ingredients and pulse until the mixture begins binding together.
Add remaining oats and pulse a few more times.
Cover the apple filling with the crumble mixture, pressing down to form an even layer.
Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes, then remove from oven and let cool a few minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream!
