Ingredients for the keto-friendly chicken pizza recipe
- 16 oz jar of Cucina Antica Garlic Marinara Sauce
- 1 lb ground chicken or turkey
- 3-4 slices of pancetta or pre-cooked bacon
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded + a few thin slices
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Fresh arugula
- Onion, thinly sliced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Seasonings
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp dried marjoram
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- ½ tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp dried rosemary
- ½ tsp dried sage
Steps to prepare the keto-friendly chicken pizza recipe
Preheat oven at 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, stir together ground chicken or turkey, Parmesan and mozzarella cheese, seasonings, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Split the meat mixture in 2 equal halves. Place them separately on the cooking sheet and form 2 round crusts, about ½-inch thick.
Bake until meat is cooked through and golden, about 20-22 minutes. Remove from oven and heat broiler.
Spread a generous layer of sauce on each meat crust, leaving a small border around the pizza. Top with onion slices, arugula, bacon or pancetta and mozzarella slices.
Broil until cheese is melted, about 4 minutes. Garnish with more Parmesan cheese and serve.
