- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 1 minced garilc clove
- 2 cups chickpea, cooked
- 1 tsp cornstarch
Spices
- 1 ½ tsp curry powder
- 1 ½ tsp garam masala
- ¼ tsp ground cardamome
- Pinch of cinnamon
- 1 tbsp mince ginger
Liquids
- 1/3 cup tomato paste
- 1 cup coconut milk
- ½ cup vegetable broth
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp sriracha
Steps to prepare de vegan butter chickpeas recipe
In a skillet, heat the olive oil. Cook the onion and garlic for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, mix all the spices together. Coat the cooked chickpeas with the cornstarch, then add the spices and mix well.
Stir the chickpeas into the skillet with the onions and garlic and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Pour all the liquid ingredients into the pan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
