Veggie burger recipe with TVP and cranberries
TVP, or textured vegetable protein, is a great plant based alternative to ground meat. TVP is made from dehydrated soybeans and soy flour, broken into small or larger pieces. You'll have to choose which one you prefer depending on what you are cooking.
Just like tofu, TVP leaves no taste in recipes and has a rich whole protein content. Depending on your preparation, you may need to rehydrate it before using it. To do so, let it soak for about an hour in lukewarm water. For the quicker version, let your TVP boil for 2-3 minutes in water or vegetable broth.
The textured vegetable protein is very versatile. Incorporate it into your diet in different ways and learn how to prepare it to your liking. Our veggie burger recipe with TVP and cranberries is a great starting point!
