Soothing digestive tonic
The delicate taste of ginger and mint which make up this tonic facilitates digestion. This also provides the body with green foods needed to relieve pain and inflammation and helps boost immunity.
Ingredients
A 2-inch (5 cm) piece of ginger rhizome, peeled and sliced
1 cup (250 mL) filtered water
1 scoop of Botanica Organic Greens
1 generous handful of spinach, kale or dandelion greens
2 tbsp. tbsp (30 mL) chopped mint leaves
1 C. teaspoon (5 mL) Intermiel raw honey
3 ice cubes
Instructions
Combine ginger rhizome slices and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Pass the cooled liquid through a sieve, then blend in a high-speed blender. Pour cooled liquid into a high-speed blender. Add remaining ingredients and mix until combined. Pour into a glass and garnish.
