Oleic fatty acid, also known as omega-9, is a highly resistant heat-resistant fat and one of the pillars of the Mediterranean diet. For qualifying "oleic", a sunflower oil must contain a minimum of 75% mono-unsaturated fat. Classic sunflower oils contain only 25%. With its rate of 82% oleic fat, the oleic sunflower oil from the pre-rieur farm rivals directly with the best olive oils! There is also its low levels of saturated and polyunsaturated fat.
